Sterling Canyon reports that TanzaniteOne, the largest producer mine in Tanzania of Tanzanite has increased production by 70% over last year.  The Tanzania government has enforced an export ban for stones larger than five carots.  However, the mine's output efficiencies have increased  to 71 carats per ton, up from 58 carats per ton a year ago.  Will this stabilize prices?  Perhaps.
