Sterling Jewelry Fad

There was a recent poll conducted by National Jeweler that showed that Sterling Silver jewelry was becoming the jewelry of choice for the Gen Y consumer.  After all, Sterling Silver is bright and light.  There are some fantastic designs being offered by the retailers (Sterling Canyon) and a lot of people wearing them.  What are the most popular pieces to wear?  Necklaces and bracelets.  Earrings come in a respectable third place.  Don't women want to wear matching earrings?  I guess not.  Let me know what you think.  Is Sterling Silver the jewelry of choice?
